DAC3282 Setup

DAC3282 Test Test Setup: 100MHz real tone sent from TSW1400EVM Test conditions: Fdac = 614.4Msps Int Clk 2x Interpolation TSW1400 data rate = 304.2M LO = 2.4GHz .

DAC SETUP Connect power (6V) to DAC3282 EVM at connector J6. Connect DAC3282EVM to the PC with USB. Connect the output of TRF3720 to the spectrum analyzer. 2. USB 3. TRF3720 output 1. 6V power PLL lock

GUI settings Click Reset USB Port. Click Read All to check if GUI is connected to the device. Click Initialize to program to DAC. The PLL LOCK led should turn on. See previous slide 3. 1. 2.

TSW1400 SETUP Disconnect DAC3282 EVM from PC. Apply power and connect USB to TSW1400

TSW1400 setup Launch HSDCpro GUI. Enter Data rate 304.2M and select 2’s complement for DAC option. Select DAC3282_83 from dropdown menu. Enter 1 for # of tones and 100M for Tone Center Click create Tones button and click Send. 2. 3. 5. 4.

1. All LED should light up on TSW1400 board except D5 and D7

YOU should see two tone 100M from 2.4GHz one at 2.3GHz other one at 2.5GHz
