INDIVIDUAL LEARNING AGREEMENT REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISOR DR. TERESITA D. GUEVARRA REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISOR

Individual Learning Agreement   THE INDIVIDUAL LEARNING AGREEMENT IS A VERY IMPORTANT DOCUMENT FOR PLANNING AND ASSESSING A LEARNING PROGRAM. AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE LEARNER AND THE INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGER / FACILITATOR THAT GUIDES BOTH OF THEM THROUGH THE WHOLE LEARNING PROCESS.

The Flexible Learning Style used in this system helps the learners meet their individual learning goals. FLEXIBILITY in this context means that the out-of-school youth and adult learners can decide on what they will learn ,when they will learn, and how they will learn. Learning needs are written as learning goals on the Individual Learning Agreement [ILA]

INDIVIDUAL LEARNING GOALS The things that the learner sets to achieve for a specific period of time Provide the benchmark againts which the learners can access their own progress in the program Help determine what learning modules, activities and time frame will be used in the learning program.

ILA IS A KEY INSTRUMENT TO MEASURE LEARNING’S PROGRAM The learner’s broad learning goals and specific learning objectives; The things the learner plans to do to achieve his/her learning objectives; and The time frame for learning or achieving them.

Long-Term Learning Goals “to get a job” “to get a high school certificate” “to learn to get along with people better” “to get a driver’s license” “to learn how to take better care of the environment” “to enter a TESDA training program” “to get into college”

Short-Term Learning Goals “to read a letter from my uncle” “to write to my daughter in Saudi” “to read the Bilbe or Koran” “to know what foods are healthy for my children”
