Olga Sorkine Research interest: Computer Graphics Geometric modeling – shape modeling, animation, expressive modeling Image manipulation color harmonization, tone mapping image warping, content-aware resizing

Some recent and ongoing projects Editing and animating 3D shapes using intelligent curves analyze a given 3D shape and extract some characteristic curves manipulate curves (change shape, animate); the curves are aware of their mutual relationship and try to retain it the surface of the shape follows the curves Changing the aspect ratio of images and videos resizing images/video by squeezing or stretching “uninteresting” areas a global optimization process finds the local deformations that need to happen naive resizing (bottom) squeezes the people; intelligent resizing squeezes the background
