Vision and mission of the partnership Vision and mission of the partnership - why we've set up the partnership? - Vision “The Sport Partnership aims to support EU regions committed to generate a pipeline of business investment projects in the sport sector”   Rationale “Following a bottom-up approach - implemented through interregional cooperation, cluster participation and business involvement as well as aligning specialization profiles of the partner regions”

Basis of the investment thesis Basis of the investment thesis - background / basis of the partnership - Importance of Sport Physical activity and sport are drivers for economic growth. Their cross sectoral influence with many disciplines such as for instance tourism, health, construction, environment and transport has exponential spillover effects for the development of strategic business. ClusSport Consortium The objective of the consortium formed by 8 regions (Lapland (FI), Kainuu (FI), Valencia (ES), Catalonia (ES), Flanders (BE), South Netherlands (NL), Auvergne-Rhône Alpes (FR), Upper Austria (Au) and Dalarna (SE) is to help strengthening the sport industries at EU level, following a bottom-up approach, implemented through interregional cooperation, cluster participation and business involvement, as well as aligning specialisation profiles of the partner regions.
