Transcripts and Record Reviews Check address Check social security # Cover Record Review form – pay close attention to deficiencies, credits, EOC pts Fill in ACT info – if scheduled, score, etc. Fill in post-graduate plans, major, etc. Sign Record Review form Keep transcript & turn in Record Review

Transcript Release Form & Activity Record Transcript release form should be turned in and on file already!

Senior Year Fall – college visits & college applications mailed by Thanksgiving, or sooner depending on college Fall – financial aid – FAFSA – completed by Dec 1st (check the college deadline) Winter – compare college & financial aid packages to select your school

College Rep Procedures College reps will be here throughout the Fall in the cafeteria during the lunch zones. See Mr. Egan if you have questions.

College Visit Procedures Every student is entitled to 2 excused college visit days - & a third or more with prior approval Parent needs to call you off that morning – saying that you are going on a college visit You must get your College Visit Form signed at the college

College Visitation Days University of Akron – October 13th or November 3rd – all majors Days for specific majors www.uakron.edu/admissions Kent State University – Previews – November 3rd www.admissions.kent.edu Go to websites if interested in other college visitation days or open houses.

Online College Applications All colleges prefer you apply online and some may require it. Signature page – this will be at the end of your online application – be sure to print this out and bring to Guidance so we can mail transcript We will mail up to 3 transcripts for free per year, after that you must bring in a self addressed stamped envelope or $ for postage. It will then cost $1 per page. Fee Waivers – must have applied and been accepted for free/reduced lunch this year

Application Deadlines Pay close attention to the deadlines for the particular schools you are interested in! Regular application deadline Honors Program deadlines Scholarship Application deadline Goal: All college applications in before Thanksgiving Break!!!
