Unit 4: The Constitution Lesson 4- The Remaining Articles of the Constitution Essential Question: What powers of the federal government do Articles IV-VII include?

Article IV- The States Outlines the duties states have to each other Outlines the duties the federal government has to the states Discusses the admittance and/or creation of new states to the Union

Article V- Making Amendments Process for proposing and ratifying new amendments to the Constitution

Article VI- The Supremacy Clause The Constitution is the highest law of the land. No personal or other law has more power.

Article VII- Ratification 9 out of 13 states needed to ratify the Constitution before it would become the official law of the land
