Presentation Overview ISRO’s GSICS Activities, Action & Achievements Summary ISRO’s support to GDWG Activities ISRO’s support to GRWG Activities ISRO’s Instruments Updates & Planned launches – relevant to GSICS if any Introduce/Confirm the ISRO’s Personnel supporting GSICS

ISRO’s GSICS Activities, Action & Achievements Summary INSAT-3D imager, sounder GSICS coefficients are regularly updated on MOSDAC. MOSDAC website for INSAT-3D GSICS coefficients is updated and a thredd server is created. A java based software is developed for the analysis of INSAT-3D GSICS coefficient analysis. Analysis tool is operational on SAC local network. GSICS based approach is operationally implemented for operational calibration of INSAT-3D/3DR imager (IR) channels. In-orbit EOMT based calibration of INSAT-3D and INSAT-3DR imager channels using IASI and AIRS as reference is developed and demonstrated. A procedure is established to analyse GEO-GEO inter-comparison of INSAT-3D, INSAT-3DR imager and sounder channels. GEO-GEO inter-comparison of INSAT-3D, MSG-SEVIRI and INSAT-3DR MSG-SEVIRI is under progress.

Highlights ISRO’s support to GRWG activities: In-orbit EOMT based calibration of INSAT-3D and INSAT-3DR imager channels using IASI and AIRS as reference is developed and demonstrated. Started working on inter-calibration of INSAT-3D/3DR Vis/SWIR channels using MODIS ray tracing approach. Inter-calibration of INSAT-3D/3DR Vis/SWIR channels using MODIS DCC based method is yet to start.. A procedure is established to analyse GEO-GEO inter-comparison of INSAT-3D, INSAT-3DR imager and sounder channels. GEO-GEO inter-comparison of INSAT-3D, MSG-SEVIRI and INSAT-3DR MSG- SVIRI is under progress. GCC support is needed in getting MODIS DCC data for VIS/SWIR inter-calibration.

Introduce/Confirm the ISRO’s Personnel supporting GSICS: After superannuation Dr. A S Kiran Kumar, Dr. Rajkumar (DD, EPSA/SAC) will be new member of Executive Panel (EP) from ISRO side. To add another ISRO member in GRWG. Dr. Munn Vinayak Shukla. Mr. D K Patel will be point of contact for GPRC for operational matters.
