Gap Analysis Universities are experiencing; Decrease in enrollments 50% increase in dropout rates Dropouts defaulting on student loans Loss in revenue Universities placed on notice GAP Assessment University leaders learned about a 30 percent decrease in enrollments, and 50 percent increase in dropout rates over the last two years. Alarmed by the lack of enrollments, leaders noticed the loss in revenue. The university is also under the radar of the federal government due to the increase of students taking out financial aid and dropping course within the first semester. Needless-to-say, these dropout students are defaulting on their student loans. These situation caused for the university to be placed on notice. Stakeholders at the university need this course to improve areas identified above by 20 percent.

Value-Added Student Conversations Goals and Objectives Solutions The Value-Added Student Conversation course helps to better equip enrollment representatives to improve vital areas of performance. The goal is to meet organizational goals, and provide outstanding customer service. The objective is to improve student conversation by 20% and identify correct degree option with 100% accuracy Solutions The Value-Added Student Conversation course helps to better equip enrollment representatives to meet three objectives as listed below: Improve conversation to help students start their educational journey Discover challenges the student has in moving forward with their college education. Goals To meet organizational goals, and provide outstanding customer service. Objectives Improve conversation to help students start their educational journey by 20% Identify correct degree of option with 100% accuracy.

Modality About the course…. Facilitator Taught Course Entry level course Two Day course Four hours long Webinar for Outside of the Phoenix campus Modality The value-added student conversations course is taught by a facilitator. This is an entry level course that has a practical application at all levels of the enrollment process. The course is four hours long, taught by a facilitator in two days. For enrollment representatives outside of the Phoenix campus, the course is taught via webinar.

Activities Facilitator Training: Presentation slides to describe the benefits of incorporating value-added student conversations. Training is face-to-face Training includes collaborative learning activities Day one; teams will create three strategies to improve student conversation with 100 percent accuracy. Learners will generate 10 questions that may be used to create a value-added conversation with 100% accuracy. Course Activities The facilitator will use presentation slides to describe the purpose and benefits of incorporating value-added student conversations. Day two; learners will focus on incorporating the value-added questions in student conversations. Learners work in teams of two to practice using the questions generated in a student conversation.
