The Believer‘s Possessions Romans 5:1-11

Romans 5 Therefore…

25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, Romans 4 (NLT)  25 He was handed over to die because of our sins, and He was raised to life to make us right with God.

Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith… Romans 5 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith…

1. Peace With God Therefore, since we have been made right Romans 5 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. 

14 For He Himself is our peace, and has broken down the middle wall Ephesians 2 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,

14 Stand therefore…15 and having Ephesians 6 14 Stand therefore…15 and having shod your feet with the preparation [inworking] of the gospel of peace; 

2 through whom also we have access into this grace in which we stand… 2. Standing in Grace 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand…

from the choices you've made, Broken and bruised from the choices you've made, Sin has a price and so often you've paid.

Oh but Jesus is waiting, new hope is in Him. And grace will always be greater than sin!

Grace will always be greater than sin. Calvary has proven it time and again

Whatever you've done, wherever you've been— God's grace will always be greater than sin.

in whom also, having believed, you were sealed Ephesians 1 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 

14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession,  to the praise of His glory.

In Christ we are redeemed; From the penalty of sin From the power of sin From the presence of sin

3. Hope of Glory 3 And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, [squeezing under pressure – olives, grapes]

…knowing [through experience] that tribulation produces perseverance; 4 and perseverance, character; and character, hope. 

Purify my heart Cleanse me from within And make me holy Purify my heart Cleanse me from my sin Deep within

Refiner's fire My heart's one desire Is to be holy Set apart for You, Lord… Ready to do Your will

4. Divine Love 5 Now hope does not disappoint, because the [supernatural] love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Whenever: we sincerely seek after righteous living we long to worship the Lord Jesus with our entire being we experience the awesome awareness that God is indeed our Heavenly Father

6 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die.

8 But God

having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath 5. Deliverance 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them  in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

10 For if [since] when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son,

much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

6. Joy in God 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

…who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honour and eternal dominion. Amen.
