Archaeologist: Scientists who examine objects to learn about the past and cultures

Irrigation: Network of Canals to supply land with water

Surplus: more food/supplies than needed to survive.

Fertile: Soil which is good for growing food

Pre-History: Before written History

History : Written events of people

Artisans: Workers skilled in making baskets, leather, tools, or pottery.

Social Class: A group of people that have similar backgrounds, wealth, and ways of living.

Scribe: Professional Writer

Domesticate: To tame Wild Animals

Civilization: A society with cities, a central government run by official leaders, and workers who specialize in certain jobs, leading to social classes.
