Simple Hard Things Week 1: RELATIONSHIPS Love people Week 2: MARRIAGE Respect it; keep the marriage bed pure Week 3: MONEY Don’t love it; be content; be generous Week 4: LEADERSHIP Follow your leaders TODAY: PRAISE Praise God all the time

Definition of praise: Expressing approval or affirmation for a behavior, trait, accomplishment, etc.

Definition of praise: Expressing approval or affirmation for a behavior, trait, accomplishment, etc. Benefits of praise: It encourages the one who gives the praise It encourages the one who receives the praise It benefits the relationship between them

Encourage one another and build each other up. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 No foul language is to come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29 I am pleased to have Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus present, because these men have made up for your absence. For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore recognize such people. 1Corinthians 16:17-18

Definition of praise: Expressing approval or affirmation for a behavior, trait, accomplishment, etc. Benefits of praise: It encourages the one who gives the praise It encourages the one who receives the praise It benefits the relationship between them Dangers of praise: when we “over-praise” it might “give them a big head”

Therefore, though Jesus let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His Name. Hebrews 13:15

Praising God is my privilege… and it is my duty.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, YET I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! Habakkuk 3:17-18

ALWAYS be joyful (1 Thessalonians 5:16). Pray CONSTANTLY (1 Thessalonians 5:17). ALWAYS be thankful (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Praise God CONTINUALLY (Hebrews 13:15).
