More Trouble! The lands between the Appalachian Mountains and the Mississippi River were under British control because they won the war. Colonists wanted to settle in the land, which used to belong to the Native Americans. The Native Americans got so angry, and under the leadership of a Native named, Pontiac, together the Native Americans worked together to capture some of the British forts. Why do you think they did this? Put yourself in the shoes of a Native American….what would you do? Put yourself in the shoes of a British colonist who wants to settle in the area that is now theirs due to winning the war. What would you do? How would you react and why?
