Compressor Station at the Georgian-Azerbaijani Border Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation Vienna 23.10.2017
Project Overview Maximum pressure of gas provided from Azerbaijan to Georgia at the border is not more than 23-24 bar, that makes impossible to increase daily volume more than 6-6,5 mcm. It is necessary to discuss parameters In order to solve complex problem of guaranteed gas delivery to the Georgian consumers more effectively it is recommended arrangement of compressor station at the border with Azerbaijan. CS is considered to increase pressures of incoming gas up to 29-37 bar in order to satisfy pic demand of Georgia in long term perspective. An estimated cost of 8-10 mcm per day capacity and up to 37 bar pressure, approximately 7-10 MW capacity compressor station is 15-20 mln $. Investment costs include all, including equipment and materials, permits, construction and exploitation costs for the gas drawing compressor (It is established by the rough proximity of the European source data and may contain a significant margin of error). Besides, it is necessary to arrange the measuring unit corresponding to the modern, international standards at the borde and clean gas supplied from Azerbaijan.
