PRODUCT SCHEDULER, MIDSTREAM Downstream Future Leaders Program Role Title Product Scheduler Reporting to Business Area ASPAC FUELS Downstream DC Commercial Role Level Location & expected travel Melbourne BFHR contact for this role Direct Reports? No Role in context of Future Leaders Program This role is part of the Future Leaders Program, which aims to attract and develop individuals external to BP with diverse experiences and leadership capability to bolster the Downstream distinctive capability leadership pipelines. The program consists of 2x24 months rotations within a distinctive capability area, and will include targeted leadership development and capability building. This role is the first of two rotations in the Commercial Distinctive Capability. Role Purpose The purpose of the role is to ensure the continuous supply of oil products to the FVC and third party purchasers in the most efficient manner for the defined scheduling region. Manage the supply operations within the 0-4 month time horizon consistent with approved plan, within various constraints or obligations, and in support of inventory targets. Responsible for supply security in a defined geographic area within ANZ FVC scheduling ships to maintain steady stock flow. Team membership The Product Scheduler is a member of the Midstream Infrastructure Team . The team has accountability to maximize Group value and margin maximisation within the operational and tactical timeframe by working closely with peers in FVC, IST and other FVC’s to meet customer demands. Specific Role Description Proactively communicate supply options and outcomes with Sales channels and be a strong advocate for the value of federal behaviours. Effectively influence key relationships of whom you have no direct control. Represent BP’s interests to third party oil company and terminal operators to ensure optimal outcomes for BP. Create, maintain and optimise supply through managing product scheduling and inventory in conjunction with other operating units to maximise outcomes for BP Execute the supply of product to BP customers and third parties consistent with agreed term sales contracts and to maximise profitability of our assets. Directly manage Borrow & Loan stocks and physical stocks on behalf of BP (including JV terminals) to assist in achieving stock and working capital targets. Source additional supply at terminal level in instances of product shortage or stock out due to refinery or third party non supply. Plan product distribution from Kwinana refinery & supplement product imports to Australian & NZ terminals to maintain steady stock flow & avoid stock outs. Understand contract delivery and pricing terms to ensure proper execution of movements. Utilize flexibility of terms to commercially optimize schedule. Support inventory reconciliation, exposure management and settlement activities Monitor and resolve quality specifications issues promptly and notify team leaders, traders and relevant internal/external parties Leadership skills and technical competencies (aligned to a Distinctive capability) Leadership Expectations and behaviours Maximizing value: Take ownership to create enduring value through identification and delivery of opportunities.
