Properties of Similar Polygons Similar polygons are figures with the same shape but not necessarily the same size. Similar polygons have the following properties. Corresponding angles are congruent and corresponding side lengths are proportional. The ratio of the lengths of a pair of corresponding sides is the scale factor.
