Movements All transportation organized and paid by DND Travel by bus, commercial air, or military aircraft If parents request special transportation arrangements, they will be financially responsible for those arrangements Dates listed are course dates – cadets may travel up to 2 days prior to and following the course Version 2018
Movements (con’t) Land Travel Air Travel Valid Gov’t Issued ID Legal name must be identical to the name submitted when they applied to CTC Air Travel Full Legal Names must be used and Match ID Under 16 must have either one piece of photo ID or two pieces of ID one of which must specify gender, birth date and legal name (health card and birth certificate for example) 16 and over must have gov’t ID with a photo School ID cards are not accepted Cadets who turn 16 over the summer, will require the higher level of documents to return home Version 2018

What to Wear Travel to and from camp (ALL CADETS): C1s – pants, tunic, CF green shirt, parade boots, beret NO HIGHLAND KIT OR CEREMONIAL ACCOUTREMENTS Bring extra elemental t-shirt (OD) PT clothing issued at CTC Version 2018

Tips Valuables Bring only what you need Complete Record of Valuable Items Label everything with your first and last name and corps number Bring only what you need Keep civilian clothing to a minimum Flip flops (for the shower) Spending money – about $20/week Get 2 combination locks (a set of 2 with the same combo is a good idea) Lock up your Highland kit – cap badges, glens, kilts tend to grow legs at camp Version 2018

Medical All CTCs have a Medical Inspection Room (MIR) Cadets are checked by a staff of nurses & doctors Medication – original/pharmacy packaging only Blister packs preferred Bring sufficient quantities Or send prescription to pharmacy closet to camp to be re-filled Version 2018

Feeling homesick Usually happens the first night or two Have the cadet talk to the padres and other cadets from their corps Encourage them to stick with the course!! Version 2018
Alternate contact / leave / visitors Alternate Contacts Add information to Offer of Participation for someone who can be contacted in case the parent/ guardians can not be reached. Need to be entered into our personnel database (Fortress) Person must be the age of Majority. Make a clear note that extra names may sign the cadet out of the CTC for the weekend Version 2018
