Long TERM effects of marijuana Smoking marijuana for a long time can have some serious problems It can cause a decline in your IQ(up to 8 points if started at an early age) Poor school performance Financial difficulties Antisocial behavior Potential development of opiate abuse Lower life satisfaction

Short term effects of marijuana Short-term memory loss Paranoia Lowered reaction time Increased heart rate(risk of heart attack) Increased risk of stroke

Regional statistics In Lenawee county 2,855 patients alone are approved for medical marijuana consumption In Lenawee county there is also 587 legal caregivers In Hillsdale county there is 1,101 legal users of marijuana and 229 marijuana care givers.

Forms of addiction If anything marijuana is more of a mental addiction because your body doesn't NEED it but you WANT it. It is more of a preference over other drugs that can lead to real addictions and lead to more powerful drugs.
