Gas Connect‘s Online Capacity Booking (OCB) OCB is Gas Connect’s internal platform for publishing information The platform publishes also transparency information (Reg. 715) It took appr. 2 years until it was fully implemented Feedback of stakeholders is positive OCB platform for publishing information is easy to use Graphical information about capacity is available GCA receives questions at the very beginning 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation

Difficulties during Implementation Difficulties of data publication for the past five years Data were partially not available in the requested form Necessity of manual conversion of values Implementation of workarounds and/or additional tools Short term solutions to fulfill the regulation Additional man power was required Interpretation of “actual physical flows” Real metered values Last confirmed (allocated) (re)nominations Interpretation of “near real time” differs at the TSOs (daily, weekly… update) 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation

Difficulties during Implementation Automating upload of information Information can be made available frequently Long time is necessary to develop applications and monitor the sets of data Differences between data published by adjacent TSOs New requirements (REMIT+CMP) sometimes beyond control of TSOs e.g. centralized platforms for auctions 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation

Internal Process – Part 1 Understanding new requirements Interpreting ‘unclear’ paragraphs Define the set of information to be published Collect the data from different internal sources Consideration of already established internal processes SCADA, Balancing Tools, etc. Refine/transform the set of data (e.g. units) Define a manual upload for the transition period 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation

Internal Process – Part 2 Launch of IT project on the implementation Definition of requirements (technical, administrative) Budget (approval, monitoring) Contact with the service provider (project plan, Q&A, etc.) Implementation and testing phase parallel with daily business Go live after 2 years 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation

Benefits Transparency leads to... ... more promotion of the gas market in Europe ... more flexibility for market participants … easier access to information for stakeholders … easier contribution to clarification of bottle-neck situations e.g. gas crisis, cold snap,… 17 November 2018 Example Footer in Sample Presentation
