Challenges and opportunities in BSE City & Guilds: New Technical Qualifications in BSE 17 November 2018 Challenges and opportunities in BSE Planned Government investment of £379 – £466 billion by 2030 through the National Infrastructure Plan 2013. Employment expected to grow over next 5 years from 2.48 to 2.75 million. Annual increase in construction output of 2.9% and employment growth 1.4% (224,000+) over the next 5 years. Apprenticeship numbers have dropped from 20,000 to 13,000. Employment to grow to 2.75 million in next 5 years

Enable entry to an apprenticeship or other employment, or progression to a related higher education course. UCAS n/a 40 min – 420max Grading P/M/D/D* Mandatory content and contribution to overall grade Must make up at least 40% of the qualification. Where qualifications have one or more pathway, the mandatory content (%) should apply equally to these Assessment A proportion of the qualification content will be assessed externally (minimum 25% for TCs and 30% Tech level). Must also include synoptic assessment. New Technical Qualifications Timeframes, support and examples

City & Guilds: Hospitality and Catering May 2017 Approvals Process: Centre decides which qualification they want to offer Centre applies for the qualification(s) by submitting a QAP form through the Walled Garden in the Quality tab Quality team receives QAP and starts to process Quality team may either send out an EQA (External Quality Assurer) to check everything is in order at the centre or they may complete a desk based approval based on centre risk without sending out an EQA Approval either granted or refused If approved centre can start delivering and registering learners New Centres: If you’re a college or a private training provider looking to become a City & Guilds centre, please get in touch via our Customer Application Form on our website. Once you've filled out the form you’ll be contacted by us and we’ll guide you through the process of becoming a centre and you could be up and running in as little as 30 days. Existing Centres: If you're an existing City & Guilds centre looking to offer more qualifications including Technical Qualifications, you’ll need to submit a Qualification Approval (QAP) Form within the Walled Garden Portal.

You have been asked to design sections of the electrical installation for the building outlined in the drawing. Your tutor will provide this to you in a larger format. You are required to carry out the following: 1. Determine and complete the design criteria for the design grid.   2. Determine for circuit 1: 3. Show on the drawing the positions of self-contained standalone emergency a) the total earth fault loop impedance b) the suitability of the cpc for thermal constraints using the adiabatic equation as Regulation 543.1.3 of BS 7671. luminaries indicating, where applicable, if they are: a) maintained b) non-maintained
