6th Grade Lasting Legacy Project Clinton Strong 6th Grade Lasting Legacy Project

What is the Clinton Strong: a lasting legacy project? A project that gives 6th grade students the opportunity to do something you’ve never done before, explore new interests, make positive changes, and lead the way for future 6th graders.

Self-Improvement Community Improvement Ideas (not limits): Clean up an area Volunteer at a local event Help a neighbor Raise money for a local cause Create an awareness campaign Work with a youth minister on a special project Volunteer at your church Ideas (not limits): Learn to play a new instrument Learn to sew Learn to code Learn to build a robot Become a published author Learn sign language Produce a Stop-Motion Movie Learn to cook a new dish

Sharing the Project Ideas (not limits): Make a video Publish a book (ask me about this!!!) Build a web page Create a Podcast Design an app Create a Blog Create a POWTOON

Teacher roles: Explain the project to the students Help students with ideas Check in with students regularly to be sure they will finish on time Edit, review, critique, support Print certificates and order t-shirts for 6th Grade Award’s Day Upload projects and/or links to projects onto the school website

After the project... Links to student projects are placed on the school webpage In May, you will be given time to explore the projects completed by your peers Rising 6th graders will be introduced to the project in August and given time to explore previous Clinton Strong Projects

Leave your mark! This is a great opportunity to explore new things, discover things you didn’t know you could do, learn about your community, and leave a legacy behind to encourage other students.
