What is a Mentoring Program? Program designed to advise/teach facts necessary to the successful outcome of goals chosen by the Leadership

First Questions What are the needs of those we are going to Mentor? What are the skills of the Mentor?

Needs of the Apprentice What do you want him to know? Is a Mentor crucial to the process? If so, can the process fulfill the needs of the apprentice with excellence?

What are the Skills of the Mentor? Does he have the skills (technical, people, communication, etc.) to fulfill the needs of the apprentice? If not, can he achieve those skills fairly easily? Does he understand the expectations of the Apprentice and the Organization?

Expectations… What are the expectations of the Mentor and of the Apprentice? Write them down and discuss them in advance of the first meeting
