Pitch for music video By Ewan Phillips

Mind map

Moodboard

Issues List 1. People: Walking in and out of shot. Looking into the camera and doing actions behind the main focus. 2. Availability: When you can go out and do the shots. When the actress can come out and do the shots. 3. Lighting: Not having it too dark or too bright. Going out at the right time to get the right shot. 4. Equipment: Running out of battery or charge. Not enough room on the SD card.

Issues List (pt2) How to solve the problems 1. People: Film several times of the same shot so that you can get one of no one there. If someone is still trying to get attention, go and do another bit of the video. 2. Availability: Create a schedule with the person so you know when you are both free and know when you can shoot the video. 3. Lighting: o out at several times of the day to check when you have the right lighting and then keep note of what time it was so you can go out for the same lighting. If the lighting is still a problem then raising or lowering the aperture will help. 4. Equipment: Take spare batteries and charger out with you, and take spare SD cards and check them all before leaving to see if you have enough storage.

Music video idea The theme for my music video is going to be getting chased by your own demons, I took the phrase “chasing your own demons” and just switched it up. Its going to be focused on someone just going about there normal life but having a presence in the background giving it an eerie feeling. In the end of the music video there will a scene where the main focus and the presence will be standing looking at each other with the presence standing under a lamp post in full black. It then reveals who the presence is. Throughout the video its going to cut to a bit in the woods where the main focus will be getting stalked by several things creeping round trees.

The song I have chosen The song I have chosen is called Birthday Girl by Raleigh Ritchie. I chose this song because the song is about him getting killed by his ex or his current girlfriend in the woods. I thought it suited the idea for the video and the theme of the video. The beat is quite slow and sinister. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PInvSuwTGc This is a link to Birthday Girl by Raliegh Ritchie.

Locations The locations I am going to be using are: 1. Ashford Town Centre – Outside and inside Starbucks 2. Henwood 3. Victoria Park – in the bit with trees 4. Side roads next to town centre

SWOT Strengths – My strengths will include working the camera, Knowing my way around and where to shoot my video. Weaknesses – My weaknesses will include editing. It will always have to be filmed at night due to making the film stylised. Opportunities – Make a unique film. This could be shown on social media. Threats – Other horror music videos are out there and I have to compete with that level.
