Feed back to HMEI Submitted by Secretariat) (Doc 10) Expert team on WIS centres ET-WISC Melbourne, Australia. 18-22 April 2016 WMO. ET-WISC 2016

Draft text for report Many members rely on software and solution providers. Need to ensure WIS compliance in any delivery or plan. Centres can use GISC (or RTH) web service for metadata creation and management Or can use in own applications eg HMEI member supplied systems. Example is Metservices NZ Industry is an essential partner for rolling out WIS Very appreciative of the work to date but many more to do. ET-WISC 2016

Notes to HMEI members NCs and DCPCs are not entities They have the programme role and name eg Use RTH city not DCPC city. GISCs are entities solely for WIS eg GISC city PRs chose Principal GISC RTHs have to respect that so when an RTH supports an NC or NMHS in uploading metadata, it must therefor publish the metadata to the PRs nominated Principal GISC which may be different to their own.
