NGSS NGSS is a new way to approach the learning of science. One of the main components of the process is discussion. Students will have to think more and memorize less involving an extra effort for some of you. Some of the possible changes that you will experience are the following strategies.

Flipped classroom In a flipped classroom, students watch online lectures, collaborate in discussions, or carry out research while engaging in concepts in the classroom with the guidance of a teacher. In a flipped classroom, 'content delivery' may take a variety of forms, for example:

Collaborative learning. NGSS promotes collaborative learning, so we will work following different models. Please respect and follow the instructions if your teacher assigned a group, there is a reason that you have been assigned to that group.

groups Lab group Problem solving group Peer group Indicated by the # on your desk Problem solving group Indicated by the letter on your desk Peer group It will match with the person close to you same letter and number Ex 1A with 1A. The groups will be changed by your teacher each 3 or 4 weeks

Type of NGSS activities Case-based learning In case based learning, students develop and apply course knowledge to solve a more tangible or actual “real life” problem. Peer instruction is a method by which one student instructs another student in material on which the first is an expert and the second is a novice Problem based Problem-based learning (PBL) is an approach to the curriculum. It consists of carefully designed problems that challenge students to use problem solving techniques, self-directed learning strategies, team participation skills, and disciplinary knowledge.
