The Research Results The experiment of protective properties of sodium hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide against mold

The eradication of bacteria and viruses by means of sodium hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide is proven by various scientific studies. However, it is very difficult to demonstrate the eradication of viruses and bacteria, therefore many questions about its efficiency remained unanswered. Consequently, this experiment demonstrates the efficiency of chlorine dioxide and sodium hypochlorite against mold. 1. A slice of bread without protective agents 2. A slice of bread protected by sodium hypochlorite (5ppm) 3. A slice of bread protected by chlorine dioxide (Nanoclo2 – mobile type)

If we measure mold, viral and bacterial reproduction against chlorine dioxide and sodium hypochlorite dissimilation, the daughter cells of these lose their properties. After the chemical reaction of chlorite sodium with oxygen is generated, chlorine dioxide stave off the growth of mold, destroying all its harmful properties. Main conditions of research: 1. 1 plastic plate (diameter – 30 cm) 2. 1 slice of bread 3. Humidity of air 90%-100% 4. Air temperature +25С

1. The slice of bread without protective agents 1st day of research 5th day of research 9th day of research 13th day of research 5th day of the experiment: Black mold appears inside the bread slice 9th day of the experiment: Blue and white spores appear on all sides of the bread slice From the 13th day of the experiment: All of the bread slice is covered in mold

2. The slice of bread protected by sodium hypochlorite(5ppm) 1st day of research 5th day of research 9th day of research 13th day of research When sodium hypochlorite was used, mold started to appear after the 12th day of the experiment, when sodium hypochlorite failed to react with oxygen. This means that sodium hypochlorite can provide effective protection against mold.

3. The slice of bread protected by Nanoclo2 (chlorine dioxide) 1st day of research 5th day of research 9th day of research 13th day of research After 13 days of the experiment, there was no visible mold on the top or sides of the bread slice. But after the 5th day mold began to appear on the bottom of the slice, where the chlorine dioxide could not reach. This confirms that chlorine dioxide (Nanoclo2) generated from sodium chlorine (3g) over catalysts protects against mold.
