川菜 ChuanCai Radicals: 川(River) 菜= 卄(Grass) + 爫+ 木 (Tree)

Geographic Location of 四川 (Sichuan or in English, Szechuan) The Chinese province of 四川 is a part of southwestern China that is the second largest Chinese province. 四川 is an important Chinese province because it has an abundance of vegetation. 四川 is also a basin surrounded with mountans.

Style of Food In 四川,the style “hot and numbing” is the way to go! The Chinese characters for “hot and numbing” is 麻辣 (má​là).

Famous Dish: 怪味鸡块 怪味鸡块 or guài​wèijī​kuài is a 四川 dish made with chicken breast, egg whites, cornstarch, peanut oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce, black vinegar, chili bean sauce, dark sesame oil, sugar, shaosing wine or dry sherry; ground flower peppercorns and sometimes minced scallions.
