Case and screen protection manufactures will be updating their product packaging to reflect device compatibility and in some cases this may include relabeling existing product until new packaging arrives to stores. Qi Wireless and Quick Charge Compatibility iPhone8, 8 Plus and X Qi Wireless and Quick Charge Compatibility The new iPhone 8 and X devices now offer wireless charging using the Qi design standards. These new devices are compatible with all Qi chargers but do not offer the fast wireless charging capability found in some other devices. However new iPhones are Quick Charge (QC) compatible through the Lightning charging port using standard QC chargers. Why buy a Qi Fast Charger? The QC standards have been around for several years and have evolved to even higher charging rates in compatible devices. Using the QC charger will charge a depleted iPhone 8/8+/X to 50% in 30 minutes. QC charges are also compatible with non-QC devices and while they may not charge as fast they will provide improved charging rates over standard car and wall chargers.
