Cultural Heritage Cultural Heritage is made up of learned behaviors, beliefs and languages that are passed from one generation to another

Learned Behaviors Innate vs. Learned behaviors Innate- instinctual behaviors not affected by your environment Ex. Fear- Fight or Flight Learned Behaviors- Affected by your environment Ex. If in your family it is expected that older children must take care of the younger children, you will learn to take care of your younger siblings.

Cultural Heritage The cultural heritage of your family is reflected in the traditions you observe, the foods you eat, and the holidays you celebrate. Ex. Holiday traditions, traditional foods

Ethnic Groups Ethnics groups help preserve the cultural heritage of families Ethnics groups are groups of people who share common cultural and/or racial characteristics such as language, traditions, religion and national origin
