5 new behavioural based Golden Rules 9 common High Risk Activities Target Zero A State of Mind Principles We all have the right to go home unharmed everyday. We believe that all harm is preventable. We must all work together to achieve this. Re focus Pillars LEADERSHIP & BEHAVIOUR DESIGNING FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY COMMUNICATION WORKPLACE HEALTH WORKPLACE SAFETY PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT Golden Rules 5 new behavioural based Golden Rules As Crossrail moves into the next phase of the project, we have revised our existing Target Zero program. As part of this review we have engaged with supervisors on what is working well and what is not. As a result of this we have made some changes. The principles that all harm is preventable and that that everyone has the right to go home unharmed remains. - Golden Rules will be changing from task specific activities (such as Lifting Operations, Spray Concrete Lining and Working at Height) to behavioural based Rules (Respect the basics, Assess the Risks, Check the Site etc). These rules are designed to be applied to all activities and as a result improve the culture across the project. - High Risk Activities which are common across the project have been introduced. These activities need to be carefully managed with a higher level of control in line with necessary safe systems of work and permit plans.
