Hurricane Preparedness Always prepare for a hurricane. It is important to have plenty of bottled water on hand just in case the water supply is contaminated. A good rule of thumb is to have at least 1 gallon of water per person per day. Be sure to have plenty of non-perishable canned foods. Also be sure to fill doctor’s prescriptions for medicines before the hurricane hits. TOO MUCH TEXT!!!
