What to bring along Hostel contract Hostel deposit – 4000 NOK Semester fee – 500 NOK Tenants only are to bring hostel contracts, unless they have already been submitted electronically A 4000 NOK hostel deposit, unless it’s already been paid online A 500 NOK semester fee. This fee does not apply to exchange students The bills for the semester fee will be handed out by Ingvild at the Samskipnaden counter. 17.11.2018

What to do at Samskipnaden There will be two queues Left queue: Submit hostel contract Right queue: Everything to do with money There will be two queues. The left is for submitting the hostel contract, unless it has already been signed and submitted electronically. The right is for all things economical: Paying hostel deposits, semester fees and to get info about accessing your deposited money. No cash will be handed out. You can pay with cash, but NOK only. This option is an introductory programme exeption. Or you can pay with credit card. 17.11.2018

Deposited money Transfer to You can deduct Your new bank account Your home country You can deduct Hostel deposit Semester fee House rent will automatically be deducted Deposited money will be transferred to you once you have got your own bank account, or state that you want it transferred back to your home country. Please be aware that Samskipnaden will request you to hold back enough money to cover for at least one semester of house rent. Meanwhile, you can deduct: Hostel deposit Semester fee House rent will automatically be deducted In addition, you can withdraw from the deposited amount: You will not be able to get any cash at the counter, but you can have a Fokus Prepaid Card, (one time cost NOK 200, + a service fee of NOK 200 allready charged) and fill up with a part of your deposited money while waiting for your own bank account. The card works like a regular ATM card (free use) Contact “Economy” at the Service Centre to make a request appointment regarding this. 17.11.2018

How to pay rent Online Bank transfer Please don’t pay at the Samskipnaden Service Centre Invoices will be available in the beginning of every month at “Din side” / “Your page” at Samskipnaden.no. You are noticed by email. How to pay: Log in (e-mail + password) and pay online! Make sure your VISA or MasterCard includes 3-D-secure. Or you can transfer with IBAN and SWIFT/BIC. Apply for Norwegian account, pay online. You can’t pay at the Service Centre! 17.11.2018

Problems with the property You can apply for a transfer from February 15th Problems at the property can be reported online Don’t want to live in the room you were granted? Applications to transfer to other hostels will not be dealt with before 15 February, but most likely, nothing will be available. There is a massive demand for student housing in Tromsø, and therefore there will almost certainly be no vacant rooms into which you can transfer. Want to report something not working in your room? Someone will help you do it online at the Service Centre visit tomorrow. 17.11.2018
