Changing the way we buy and grant aid goods and services Council Budget Motion (approved) of 21/1/16 “Continue to work with partner agencies to co-produce, maximise outputs and deliver the highest quality integrated services” “As part of the drive towards greater partnership working we instruct the Chief Executive to prepare a report for the March 2016 Finance and Resources Committee on the benefits, outcomes, management and improved transparency of various funding streams including grants, co-production and contracts for the voluntary sector“

Note: Pt3P = Council Payments to Third Parties Programmes (see handout) 10% reductions in Pt3P achieved for 2015-18

Changing the way we buy and grant aid goods and services F&R Cttee (decision) of 14/12/15 : Report on Coproduction and Procurement to Cttee in May 2016: Operational approaches “The approach (coproduction) is designed to achieve a “collaborative advantage” pooling resource, expertise, knowledge and experience to design the best possible for services with and for citizens in Edinburgh.” “There needs to be a shared understanding between the Council and the third sector of the limits as well as the advantages of coproduction and of procurement as means of securing the delivery of services.“ “That there will be a further report to this Committee analysing the various options in Spring 2016.”
