Today there are a lot of jobs that require a high level of skill in whatever field that the job is in. Whether its people skills, problem solving, or having a good sense of organization. An auto mechanic diagnosis and repairs problems on automobiles. In the future, auto mechanics will require additional schooling to service the complex automobiles of the future, including electric cars and computer operated vehicles.

They diagnose problems by different signs and sounds. Trucks are run by computers telling them when and what to do, which they also can tell the mechanic through a device you plug in to the car. After they find what is wrong they decide what to do, and they fix it with different tools and machinery.

The salary they have is pretty much the same as a teachers. The median expected salary for a typical Automotive Mechanic in the United States is $34,090.

To be a certified mechanic you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They have to stay organized and do everything to a certain procedure. They must know how to use power tools, machine tools, welding tools, and more. They must know a lot about complex parts and they also have to know how to inspect vehicles. To do inspections they require knowing where and how to lubricate parts and how to test them.

In the future the business may either speed up or slow down. The drastic changes in technology will require them to have better equipment and they will have to have a lot of more schooling to be able to effectively fix and memorize how all the things work.

In the future auto mechanics will require additional schooling to service the complex automobiles of the future including, electric cars and computer operated vehicles. The technology of cars will have increased luxury but an increase of problems so that mechanics will have a better income and be able to retire early.

Extra schooling for learning how to use different computer chips, what they do, and things that go wrong will be required. Schooling about electric motors and different wiring will probably be required as well. They will be trained to program the vehicles and learn to adjust different tuning.

The job has changed a lot from being a regular mechanic with the ability to swap an engine or fix the suspension to using computers to test and using machinery for doing big jobs like lifting the car off the ground to fix the exhaust. It is a good change for them so they can have a better pay to live their retired life to the fullest.
