Easter Nursery Spring 2-Week 5 Communication & Language Literacy The children will hear the Easter Story and learn why Easter is a special time for Christians. Expressive Arts and Design Our role play will be a Garden Centre where the children can play together, listening to each others ideas and making up stories. On the creative table the children will be making their chocolate nests. Phonics In phonics some children will be playing lots of listening games and the older children will be learning all about the letter ‘i’, what sound it makes and objects that begin with that sound. Easter Nursery Spring 2-Week 5 UW –The World The children will be making shredded wheat nests. They will be looking at the changes that happen to the ingredient we use. Mathematics There will be lots of number activities out in the different areas of nursery so the children can practice their counting, number recognition and number problems. Physical Development During our PE time we will be going on an Easter egg hunt around school. On our fine motor table we will be using our fine motor skills to move the tiny chick shapes into the eggs using the tweezers. We will be joining the rest of school at Church on Thursday morning for Messy Easter. If you are free come along and join us. Mrs C Mayne
