IEEE Young Professionals YP Affinity Group is an international community of enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative IEEE members and volunteers. Benefits Provides Professional Networking to early-career IEEE Members. Helps YP’s evaluate their career goals. Helps YP’s polish their professional image Creates building blocks for a lifelong and diverse professional network. 11/17/2018

IEEE Young Professionals Automatically included in Affinity Group for 15 years after first professional degree (e.g. Bachelors), can opt-in after that. No extra cost to be a member of the YP Affinity Group. 11/17/2018

IEEE Young Professionals Each IEEE Section in a Region will usually have a YP Affinity Group, that will hold at least 2 networking events a year Each Region, YP Affinity Group plans a signature event each year – for Region 6 we held ours at the Tech Industry Summit. STEP (Student Transition and Elevation Partnership) Funding available for events w/ at least 10 attendees, and starts at $500. (http://yp.ieee.org/step/) 11/17/2018

IEEE Young Professionals To start a YP Affinity Group in Your Section: Visit: http://www.ieee.org/societies_communities/geo_activities /forms_petitions/index.html Follow and complete the Affinity Group petition form.
