Ms. Myers This will be my 14th year of teaching! Helped lead the Arts Integration Initiative in the district. I was a model classroom for several years. Worked as a National Trainer for Promethean. I hold a B.A in Communications and Psychology, a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, and an Ed.S in Educational Leadership. I am currently working on receiving my Gifted Endorsement certificate.

Notes from the Nurse If your child needs medication administered during the school day, please click here to download the appropriate form. No medication will be dispensed without proper documentation. If your child has a fever over 100 degrees, he/she must be fever- free, without medications (i.e. Tylenol, ibuprofen, etc.), for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child is sick, he/she must have no symptoms of vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours before returning to school. For Kindergarten and 1st Grade students, please pack an extra set of clothes in the bookbag in case of accidents.

Welcome to Advanced Credit Different does not equal more. Students will work on their instructional level, not their independent level. There will be plenty of guidance provided. Your feedback is welcomed.

BYOD Students will work within an online notebook. Students will use their devices every day. Please return the BYOD form with the serial number of the device printed on it by Friday August 3rd.

Book Clubs! Students will read six books in Reader’s Workshop during the first 2 nine week periods. You only have to purchase 1! Book Club books will be due on Monday, August 6th. Novel study books are optional but encouraged!

Grading Tests & Projects are counted twice. Classwork, Quizzes, & Participation are counted once. Language Skills is weighted 40% of Language Arts. Writing is weighted 60% of Language Arts.

Homework Homework varies by teacher and is tailored to student needs.

Behavior Management Students will receive a Star Sheet where behavior problems will be documented. Five infractions in a nine week period may result in a detention. Students may be referred to the office after the third parent/guardian contact concerning behavior issues.
