Future Plans and Finished Future Actions Prime 1 - Summit Future Plans and Finished Future Actions

Future Plans + infinitive Express general future plans with: - expect - hope - intend - plan Monise expects to visit Paris next year. Eliete plans to write a book in English. + infinitive

The perfect form of an infinitive: to have + past participle Use the perfect form of an infinitive to express that an action will or might take place before a specified time in the future. By 2020, Ismael plans to have had a child. By this time next year, Graziela hopes to have bought a new car. ( to have) (to buy)

Finished future actions Future perfect: will + have + past participle Use the future perfect to indicate an action that will be completed by a specified time in the future. By the end of this month, Marina will have cooked several delicious meals. By the end of Prime 1, Ricardo will have written 5 lovely paragraphs. ( to cook) (to write)

Use the present perfect in an adverbial clause to distinguish between a completed future action and one that will follow it. Once Cris has graduated from Prime, she’ll take a conversation course. When Fabio has saved a million reais, he is going to buy a new apartment. Completed action: Present perfect

Complete the sentences: - By the end of September, we will have finished Prime 1. - We hope to start putting some money away. When Marta has finished this presentation, she’ll go to bed. Bob plans to be financially independent when he is 23 years old. ( to finish) (to start) (to finish) (to be) (to be)
