Fast Track Professional route update The current fast track professional exemption route does not change for the next two exam sessions Students who register on this route between now and 1 April 2019 will take two modules - Corporate Secretarial Practice and the Chartered Secretaries’ Case Study Students considering taking this route will be able to start and finish on the current modules before the new syllabus is introduced Students registering from 2 April 2019 will take two modules – Corporate Governance and Risk Management. The first exam for these modules will be November 2019

Are you eligible for the Fast Track Professional? Entry requirements – qualified lawyer or accountant Further criteria: you must have been qualified for five years or more and have the relevant post-qualifying experience qualified lawyers, barristers, etc must be a current member of the Bar or Law Society for your jurisdiction or compliant with the Qualified Lawyers Transfer qualified accountants must also be a current member of one of the following major accountancy bodies

Applying for entry onto Fast Track Professional Submit your full CV outlining your experience in the following areas: Company secretarial and legal work Corporate governance Financial management Committee administration and Accounting General management and administration  Pensions Insurance Submit certified proof of your legal/accounting qualification and date of admission to membership

Application (continued…) Once you have been accepted onto the programme: complete the relevant registration and examination entry forms Submit the forms together with the required fee of £1,230* fee includes: non-refundable initial registration fee first annual subscription fee exemption fees one exam entry for each of the applicable modules *Study textbooks and tuition are not included in the price and would need to be purchased separately

e-learning pilot A new e-learning pilot scheme was launched this year, and will run for the duration of the current syllabus Part of a plan to enhance student support and facilitate success Student engagement and feedback will inform creation of learning materials and ICSA support for the new syllabus

What does it contain? Limited in scope to two optional learning packages for modules on the current syllabus – Corporate Secretarial Practice and the Chartered Secretaries’ Case Study Both resources will be available to students as part of a Fast Track Plus package – and will also be available as single units of study The Corporate Secretarial Practice resource is available now, providing: 25 hours of video lectures covering all syllabus areas Further resources, including example exam questions, reading, webinars and exam preparation guidance The e-learning resource for the Chartered Secretaries’ Case Study will be available from September 2018

Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance Course content Who is it aimed at Cost

Who is this qualification aimed at? This Advanced Certificate is designed for anyone who wants a graduate- level qualification in corporate governance. People in the following roles may find this qualification beneficial: Members of company secretarial or governance teams Compliance officers Risk managers Those in legal or accountancy roles who undertake governance duties

Cost and study time required Recommended study time is 150 hours 3 hour, closed book exam Pay a one-off fee of £1,200, this includes: registration as a student Corporate Governance study text one exam entry access to past papers, suggested answers and other study materials via MyICSA Affiliated membership – postnominals CIS (Affiliated)
