What “foreign policies” did the U.S. favor during the 1920s? Notes #43

Immediately after World War I, the U. S Immediately after World War I, the U.S. emphasized a return to a foreign policy of isolationism. President Warren G. Harding (1921 – 1923)

Feelings of nativism (distrust of immigrants) grew in the U. S Feelings of nativism (distrust of immigrants) grew in the U.S. and were directed toward “new” immigrants from Southern and Eastern Europe.
