THE SUPERCHARGED SKC AIRCHEK XR5000 The FIRST personal sampling pump with supercharged lithium-ion battery power. Experience unparalleled run times up to 40 hours on one battery charge when running at 2 L/min with the high-power Li-Ion battery pack and 0.8 µm MCE filter. SKC has the FIRST and ONLY sampling pump that uses powerful lithium-ion batteries. That is what separates us from all the rest. We capitalize this in our marketing by using the phrase: Li-Ion battery makes it flow, like no other sampling pump. Most of you report that Gilian is your main pump competitor. So the Gilian 5000 would be the direct competitor to the XR5000. I included the Gilian spec sheet in your handout. This pump uses nickel metal hydride and they are quoting standard run times of “8hours minimum”. The lithium-ion battery would be a good thing to get written to specs to lock out the competition.

The Airchek 2000 pump will continue to be the pump of choice for high tech users who want PC compatibility. I see the XR5000 as the pump of choice for routine, daily hygiene, indoor air, or fenceline sampling.

AIRCHEK XR5000 SPOTLIGHT ON FLOW Patented internal flow sensor Automatically compensates for changes in air temperature Constant flow in high flow mode Multi-tube sampling in low flow mode using low flow adapter kit The XR5000 uses the patented isothermal flow sensor to maintain constant flow. But unlike the AC2000, the XR5000 does not display the flowrate. Instead there is just a blue LED, that blinks to indicate the pump is running. We made this decision to keep the operation simple and the cost down. We have already received feedback from some of you and other distributors, that you want an indicator of flow---either a rotameter or digital display on future pump designs. I agree. We have advised Product Development. The pump’s flowrate will compensate for changes in air temperature, but there is NO internal atm pressure sensor. Like other designs, uses CPC to do multi-tube sampling in low flow mode.

AIRCHEK XR5000 SPOTLIGHT ON PROGRAMMING Timed Run-Manually program the desired sample time up to 9999 minutes with auto shut-off for ease of use in the field. Delayed Start-Begin sampling automatically during late-night shifts or other applications without the need for user start-up. Our market research told us that for routine day-to-day use that customers want the features that we offer on the PCXR4 pump. So the XR5000 features: Timed run Delay start LCD also has a battery status icon to indicate approximate battery charge remaining. This seems to be a very important feature. The only thing positive we hear about the TSI pump is that it tells you how much approx. run time is remaining on the battery.
