Proper Lab Behavior Never participate in horseplay or behavior that could lead to injury of others. Meter sticks are equipment not weapons of mass distruction. Agree to disagree – you are not required to have the exact answers to all questions as your lab group Monitor your noise level!

Proper Lab Behavior Stay on task Do NOT wander around and visit other groups! Actively participate – be a help not a hindrance to your group!

Use goggles when instructed to do so. Dressing for Lab Use goggles when instructed to do so. This does not mean on the top of your head…

Safe Lab Practices Never look directly into a test tube. View the contents from the side. Never taste any material in the lab. Food, drink and gum are prohibited in lab. Follow ALL directions! Ask questions any time you are unsure of what to do. 6

Safe Lab Practices (cont.) Never smell a material in a test tube or flask directly. Instead, with your hand, "fan" some of the fumes to your nose carefully.

In the Event of a Lab Accident…… Report all accidents regardless of how minor to your teacher.
