We focus on coffee: for the sake of self-sustainability & economic autonomy It’s an existing trade – did not require years of development It has potential – in 1950 Haiti was a world-class, renown coffee provider – 3rd largest Economic development in rural areas keeps young Haitians in their own communities.

What we do Pre-harvest finance Agricultural training Sm. Business Mgmt. Training Purchase tons of green beans Roast & sell our Farmer’s Coffee We return 100% of proceeds from coffee sales to farmers.

We work with farmers in Most Coffee Regions

Since 2009 Purchased 120,000+ lbs of green coffee beans = $360,000 to farmer co-ops & their 8,000+ farmer families. Sold over 60,000 bags of roasted coffee and 10,000 lbs of green coffee beans to small roasters. Returned over $86,000 to farmers to improve agricultural technique AND business growth projects like equipment upgrades, repair buildings & machinery, seedling nurseries, and more.

Since 2009 Our wholesale program is the heart and soul of our operation. We've helped other non-profits to raise over $150,000 through our coffee fundraiser program. When other nonprofits use our farmer’s coffee to raise money and awareness for their own work in Haiti, it becomes a win-win for Haiti.

Cost Breakdown We pay well above fair trade prices: a minimum of $3 /lb green -- this goes IMMEDIATELY into the pockets of farmers. We wholesale it to you for $6.80 (we make .50 cents for our work in Haiti) “Fair Trade” = a paultry $1.40 per pound ($1.70 if it’s organic) You retail for a MINIMUM of $9.80 -- earning $3 a bag for your own work in Haiti.

Now THAT’s Fair $3 green + .50 + $3 = WIN for Haiti On EVERY bag. “Fair Trade” = a paultry $1.40 per pound ($1.70 if it’s organic)

You can Help: Join our Fundraiser program – a show of hands from those using the Rooster -- talk to these people, get their ideas. Use your connections - Introduce the Rooster to area grocery stores or breakfast restaurants. Tell local schools, churches, orgs about our coffee fundraiser program. Coffee shops & cafes usually have signed contracts with roasters (roasters loan them EXPENSIVE machinery) / they won’t serve our coffee – but some MAY sell it packaged from their shelves… Lunch / dinner restaurants don’t move a lot of coffee / don’t really care about it Sell at football, basketball, soccer games..

Earn $5,000 for your work in Haiti Convince 50 people to switch to Haitian Coffee Earn $5,000 for your work in Haiti Average coffee drinking household uses 2.5 bags/month = 30 bags a year ($100) $100 x 50 = $5000
