What is Lightning? A big bolt of electricity from a cloud Lightning is powerful and strong  Lightning is also hotter than the surface of the sun Lightning is one of the fastest things in nature that occur Lightning is white(all the colors) but appears as any color due moisture haze ,dust, ect. Lightning is 54,000 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s 6 times hotter than the sun ! What is Lightning?

Causes of lightning Lightning happens because when hot and cold air combine, they strike. Air swirls inside clouds made of ice crystals and adds water to make electricity. Lightning happens when water and ice rub together inside clouds. Wind rubs ice and water together inside a cloud and that creates a zap!!! Lightning only happens in cumulonimbus clouds are.

Effects of your storm What happens after your storm hits? Lots of stuff like cars and buildings could burn and break. Some people are injured and die. Buildings, cars, trees and plants can get destroyed! Some of the power may go out.
