Thank you for submitting an application for on-campus housing for the 2018-19 academic year.  In signing the Occupancy Agreement, you have committed to live on campus for the full academic year.   The next step in the housing selection process is forming roommate groups. If you are interested in living in a double, suite, quad, apartment or townhouse, this is an essential part of the process to move forward.  This must be completed first before you can choose a space in the residence halls. You may begin forming these groups on February 27. To form a group, first you must log into the Housing & Dining Self Service via the Tools menu at top right of the page on the mylasalle portal.   Once on the main page, choose Room & Roommate Selection then Roommates/Suitemates on the top menu. You must form your roommate group by Wednesday, March 28. PLEASE NOTE: You must be a full time registered student for the Fall 2018 semester by Friday, April 6 to participate in the housing selection process. Priority Numbers It’s not just a room, it’s a lifestyle Student will receive an individual priority number as well as a group priority number. Low number is BETTER. This number is based on your total number of earned credit hours plus your cumulative GPA. Your individual number (for a single room) determines what time you are eligible to log on and sign up for housing. The lower your number the earlier you are eligible to begin. For those students who have formed a roommate group, the average will determine the priority number. Priority Numbers (example) Mary and her four friends are looking to go into a townhouse during housing selection. The group average gives them a priority number of 84. Jill and her four friends are also looking to choose one of the townhouses. The group average gives them a priority number of 71. Since Jill’s group has a lower priority number of 71 (vs. 84 for Mary), Jill’s group will select before Mary’s group. It’s not just a room, it’s a lifestyle

Townhouse Selection Students looking to live in the townhouses will choose their housing on this day. (see schedule) You must have a group of five to choose this option. If you only have three people in your group then you will not be able to select a space. When a group is fully matched, anyone in the group can select a townhouse. Apartment Selection Students looking to live in two or three person apartments will choose their housing during this day. (see schedule) You must be able to fill the apartment. The housing selection system will only show you spaces based on your group size. If you have two people then you will only see the two person apartment options. General Room Selection Students looking for a single room, double room or suite will choose their housing on this day. (see schedule) You must be able to fill a room if you are looking to live in a double or suite. For example, if you want to live in a double you need two people; four for a suite When you are selecting as a group, you will have the option to break the group down if there are no more suites are available. If you choose to live on campus (especially juniors and seniors), do not assume that you will be released from your housing contract for the Spring semester. When signing the Housing and Dining Contract, you agree to live on campus for the full academic year. You must submit a Housing Release form for your request to be reviewed and considered. The housing selection process is only for current students and the placement for incoming students happens at a later time.
