Table of Contents Table of Contents Page # Assignment 1 Cover Page 10 Course Outline 11 Author’s Hopes and Dreams

Author’s hopes and dreams Draw a horizontal line to divide your paper into two halves. Label the top half Hopes and the bottom half Dreams. Take some time to consider what hopes you have for this year in Social Studies. What are some of your short-term goals for this class? Write a few sentences answering those questions. Then, consider what goals you have for your life. Ten years from now, thirty years from now, what do you hope to have accomplished? What career do you want to be enjoying? Write a few sentences answering those questions.

SMARTbook rules Your SMARTbook is ONLY to be used for Social Studies. Each page already has an assignment, so do not use the paper in your SMARTbook for ANY other class, and do not tear any paper out! Bring your SMARTbook to class every day. Number each page in the bottom outside corner and put a box around it. Wait for Mrs. Talley’s instruction before starting an assignment in your SMARTbook! 

Closure What is the purpose of a SMARTbook? How will it help us accomplish our work in Social Studies?
