Task on slide 5! Due in 8/1/17

Here is the link to the video if you want to watch it again! ADAPTATIONS Here is the link to the video if you want to watch it again! adaptations video Watch video and have girls brainstorm/list the different adaptations that they see.

The Boa constrictor is a camouflaged predator so its prey can’t see it Grass hoppers that are transparent and very hard to spot on a leaf. Some birds eat nuts and developed big strong beaks to crack them open Adaptations butterflies whose wings look like leaves The Boa constrictor is a camouflaged predator so its prey can’t see it Sloths have green algae grow in their fur to camouflage them and are so slow that predators can’t see them move

Animal Adaptations:

Design the ultimate rainforest animal!!! The animals living in the Rainforest have adapted in many ways to the hot, wet environment. Now it is your turn to design an animal with special adaptations to cope with the conditions in a rainforest. Think about the following: Which part of the forest does your animal live in? 2. What type of animal is it (bird, insect, reptile, mammal, fish...)? 3. What special features does it have? 4. How do these help it to survive? Now draw and label a picture of your animal. But you have a budget…see next slide

However, you only have a budget of £1000! Catalogue Characteristic Price Characteristic Price Small Body £100 Good Eyesight £100 Large Body £100 Nocturnal £150 Wing £90 each Good sense of smell £100 Fast Runner £150 Sharp Claws £150 Sharp teeth/Large Bill £200 Swims £150 Herbivore £100 Agile £100 Carnivore £100 Gives off bad smell £90 Can stand on 2 legs £110 Thick Fur £100 Climbs Trees £150 Bright Colouring £150 Dull Colouring/Camouflage £200 Can hold breath £150 Long Neck £120 Good Hearing £100 Before you start drawing your animal write down which characteristics you are going to give your animal and why
