Business Overview MMISR replaces the existing MMIS, in operation since 2002 A certified modern MMIS earns enhanced federal funding New analytics capability gives agencies and providers new ways to use business intelligence to improve operations Data sharing will enable person-centric care for New Mexicans

Business Overview – cont’d Modules like the Unified Portal provide a single pane of glass for New Mexicans seeking services A modern MMIS provides new features to improve Medicaid operations: Provider enrollment – MCO management – Improved 3rd Party Liability detection ESB, SMR and MDM are building blocks for these benefits

Project Approach MMISR is not traditional waterfall Module procurements via RFP and module integration are staggered over 2+years Integration is iterative, with waterfall elements Iterative deployment of 500+ interfaces and Iterative development of business process orchestration MMISR project will visit both TARC and PCC regularly to share updates on approach Utilizing a special approach to fit a non-traditional project

Progress to Date CMS approved project and budget Executive Steering Committee and IV&V in place State-led PMO running SI contract executed – project planning in flight March, 2018 – PCC releases planning funds July, 2018 – TARC approves core components of Integration Platform: Enterprise Service Bus, Master Data Management, and System Migration Repository IT Exception to procure hardware approved

Building Blocks of the Integration Platform Enterprise Service Bus Central component of Service-Oriented Architecture Handles movement of messages between systems Traffic Cop for all activities MMISR modules all connect to the ESB to exchange messages System Migration Repository Brings in data from legacy systems, including Omnicaid (current MMIS) and ASPEN Cleans and normalizes data Provides data to new modules

Building Blocks of the Integration Platform cont’d Master Data Management Sorts records and de-duplicates Allows data stewards to set criteria for matching client data across programs Hardware platform Dell EMC servers and racks for installation in Simms Data Center

Today’s Request Implementation Certification Request Release of Funds Following approval of technical architecture, MMISR seeks to purchase and deploy hardware and software – implementation activities Release of Funds With the IT exception to purchase hardware and software for $4.8M, MMISR requests release of funds for these purchases
