Emergent Layer The emergent layer is the very top of the rainforest where the tallest trees grow. Different animals live there like the harpy eagles, macaws, and monkeys.
Canopy Layer The canopy layer has many animals like jaguars, birds, monkeys, and snakes. Some plants that grow there are flowers, bromeliads, and rosy periwinkles.
Understory Layer The understory is where a lot of animals live like jaguars, snakes, and lizards. There are many different plants like orchids, foxgloves, and bluebells.
Forest Floor The forest floor is the bottom of the rainforest. There are many animals like jaguars, frogs, and anteaters. Some plants that grow there are bluebells, rosy periwinkles, and foxgloves.

Deforestation Deforestation is a harm to the rain forest. Deforestation is when you harm the rain forest by cutting the trees, logging, mining, and cattle grazing.
People of the Rain Forest . Many people live in the rainforest. They use arrows to catch their food, they eat whatever they can find. They sometimes eat birds, rats, and hogs.
