GROUPWORK- a short play by Miss G STUDENT: Miss G I do not like working in groups! MISS G: That’s okay! STUDENT: But- wait what? MISS G: Not everyone likes to work in groups. Why don’t you like groups? STUDENT: We never know who’s in charge and what everyone is supposed to do. It’s a big mess! MISS G: Great I have a solution! THE END

Social Studies reading groups There are four jobs: Reader Scribe Checker Thinker If your group has more than three people, everyone else is a thinker.

But Miss G! What do these group members do? Readers read the text. Scribes write your answers. Checkers check for spelling and factual accuracy. Thinkers think and help find answers.
