Welcome to US Physiatry US Physiatry Educational Series Overview Charlotte H. Smith MD, Chief Clinical Officer

Purpose of these materials: To help you feel comfortable providing care in environments (such as SNF, LTACH, ILF, ALF, etc.) where you may not have gotten experience during residency or in other practice settings To help understand the US Physiatry strategy and goals within the post acute environment To provide you with tools and resources that are not otherwise readily available

Educational Series Topics Although you most likely received excellent training during your PMR residency or fellowship, there are probably areas of physiatry where you may not feel fully prepared to jump in. Examples include: Clinical practice strategies in post-acute rehabilitation settings. Documentation strategies Billing Referral development Regulatory mandates (MACRA, MIPS and other quality measures) Other administrative areas of practice The majority of physiatrists often receive little to no training in these environments.
